Masterclass with Anne Sofie von Otter in Gothenburg
On 17 September, mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter will give a public masterclass with opera students at the Academy of Music and Drama, University of Göteborg.
The masterclass is part of her artist-in-residence programme, carried out with the support of the Sten A Olsson Foundation. Anne Sofie von Otter’s residency began in the autumn of 2024 and will run until 2026.
Through the Foundation’s artist-in-residence initiative, students are offered in-depth teaching and artistic exchange with internationally renowned figures in music and the performing arts. Each residency extends over a three-year period and includes teaching, concerts, and collaborations. The first programme was launched in 2018 with Isabelle van Keulen, David Dencik and Ross Daly as the inaugural artists-in-residence.
For the period 2024–2027, Anne Sofie von Otter and Vince Mendoza are engaged. A third internationally acclaimed artist-in-residence will be presented in September.
