The SOM-institute is an independent polling organization at Gothenburg University, working together with researchers in an array of different areas. The purpose is to shed light on different opinions and to understand how the Swedish society evolves. The institute has been awarded 1.5 million SEK to run a project entitled: “Kultur, hälsa och personlighet: studier av den svenska befolkningen” (Culture, health and personality: studies of the Swedish population).
